Entryway wall art

The entryway is a home’s first impression. A well-chosen painting welcomes your guests there: vertical formats for narrow walls, bright works for windowless halls.

Making the entryway a first impression

In an entryway, walls are often narrow and seen up close. Vertical formats fit there naturally; above a console, choose a work slightly narrower than the furniture and leave about twenty centimetres between them.

Without daylight, go for light or gilded works that catch the glow of a wall lamp. In a long corridor, a sequence of two or three works of the same format, lined up at eye level, gives rhythm to the passage.

An entryway painting is also a message: a horse, a peacock or a scene of Morocco painted by travelling artists tells the story of the home from the doorstep. All our works come in several sizes, on canvas, framed or unframed.

Frequently asked questions

What size of painting for a narrow entryway?

A vertical format from 40 × 60 to 50 × 70 cm suits most entryways. Keep at least 20 cm of bare wall on each side of the frame so it can breathe.

How high should a painting hang in a corridor?

The centre of the work around 150 cm from the floor, at the eye level of a standing person. In a corridor, align the centres of all the works on the same line.

Does the painting arrive ready to hang?

Yes, every work is delivered ready to hang: all that is left is the nail or hook suited to your wall. Delivery is free in Morocco and you pay on receipt.
