Bedroom wall art
In a bedroom, the painting is the first thing you see when you wake up and the last before you sleep. Here are calm works: landscapes, flowers, sand tones and soft lines.

A painting above the bed
The wall behind the headboard is the natural spot. Choose a work slightly narrower than the bed, about 100 to 120 cm for a 160 cm bed, or two identical vertical formats on either side of the bed’s centre line. Leave 15 to 25 cm between the headboard and the bottom of the frame.
For a restful mood, favour muted colours: beige, sage green, powder blue, softened terracotta. Botanical plates, Japanese prints and landscapes add depth without restlessness. Our earthy boho works warm up a bedroom with white walls.
Above a bed, many people prefer stretched canvas: it is light and has no glass. Every work comes in several sizes and can be previewed to scale on a photo of your wall before you order.
Frequently asked questions
What size of painting above a bed?
About two thirds of the bed’s width: 90 to 100 cm for a 140 cm bed, 100 to 120 cm for a 160–180 cm bed. Two vertical formats side by side also work very well.
Which colours suit a bedroom?
Soft, natural tones are calming: sand, green, light blue, powder pink. Pick up a colour from the bed linen or curtains so the painting blends in naturally.
Can I see the painting in my bedroom before ordering?
Yes. With See it at home, upload a photo of your wall and place the work to scale, in the size and frame you chose. The preview is a guide: colours vary from screen to screen.
